Description
Stock 'Dwarf Mixed' produces upright spires of blooms in a range of complimentary colours, surrounded by a luxuriant backdrop of bushy green foliage. Flowering from late spring to early summer, these versatile, lightly scented flowers are ideal for patio containers, cottage garden planting schemes, scented gardens and wildlife areas. You can even cut a few stems and create glorious cut flower displays indoors! Sow in mid summer 6mm (0.25in) deep in boxes in a cold frame or well ventilated cold greenhouse, but do not exclude light, which is beneficial to germination. Divide seedlings out into boxes or pots or direct into the cold frame 15cm (6in) apart, and overwinter there providing good ventilation.Harden off and plant out in the spring at 30- 38cm (12-15in) apart.
