Description
Zaluzianskya or Night Phlox are a pretty perfumed addition to patio pots, beds and borders. Phlox-like, 13mm (½in) deeply lobed white blooms with maroon backs open in the late evening, releasing a delicious honey scent. Grow plants in groups to take maximise the fabulous fragrance!Sow in a good seed compost 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in early spring. Germination takes 7-14 days at 15-18C (60-65F). Alternatively sow outdoors where they are to flower in late spring in drills 3mm (1/8in) deep and thin the seedlings out to 15cm (6in). Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into boxes or singly into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow at around 10-13C (50-55F).
