Description
A 'must-have' for all poppy lovers, 'Album makes a charming addition to cottage garden borders with delicate, palest pink blooms with contrasting lilac blotches at their centres. This beautiful hardy annual bears open, cup-shaped flowers from June to September above blue-green foliage. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by attractive seed heads containing edible seeds, which can be used when baking breads and cakes.Direct sow Poppy seeds outdoors where they are to grow in spring or autumn. Choose a position in full sun on fertile, well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, just below the soil surface.
