handmade in our carpentry in Berlin, this is our modern desk from our new 'Shadow Catcher' collection of Spring 2018. each piece has a number of individually cut strips of oak. The legs are attach to the horizontal strips of wood via a small cut out in the leg combined with a metal bar running through each piece of wood. Finished with a great looking hulsenmutter. the legs are also screwed together at the bottom with another piece of wood, with an individual screw going into each leg. The piece combines a real strength in construction, against a lightness that is created with the shadows & the repetition of 'layers'. the desk is finished on top with a 6mm sheet of clear glass. we cut out approximately 8mm in each horizontal strip apart from the 2 outside pieces, so that the glass fits perfectly into the table. these items are perfect for modern / light buildings. designed so that the light can shine through the piece. available in Oak in two tones: Light (light Oak) Gold (gelt) Measurements L: 200 cm B: 45 cm T: 76 cm (table top: 160cm L x 41cm W) 1 Year guarantee.
