The 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame features IsoSpeed to add comfort, control and traction over bumpy ground and has fully internal cable routing so that there is nothing to get in the way of any luggage. There are multiple mounting points for rack, mudguards and bags on both the frame and the fork and the confidence-inspiring geometry is hugely stable on fast descents. Tyre clearance is an impressive 700x45mm or 27.5x2.1”, so there is plenty of scope for adding bigger rubber if the included fast-rolling, tubeless-ready Bontrager GR1 Team Issue tyres aren’t aggressive enough. The Bontrager Paradigm SL wheels are also tubeless-ready, so it is easy to take advantage of the benefits of riding without inner tubes. Gravel-specific, the Shimano GRX drivetrain has a low-range 46/30 chainset and 11-34 cassette that are perfect for off-road inclines even when laden down with bikepacking equipment. As an added bonus, the frame has a SWAT compartment that can be used to store tools and spares even when riding luggage-free.
