The Rail 9.8 XT is a long-travel carbon electric mountain bike that gets you to the fun stuff faster. It features an upgraded fork, drivetrain and dropper for exceptional performance on the gnarliest runs. The Trek Rail electric mountain bike range features nine models, and all are designed for shredding the big trails. The Rail features the same tech as Treks analogue Rail range except with a powerful Bosch drive system to propel you up those climbs and get more of that downhill time in. All Rails feature Trek's Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system which looks great and is very user-friendly. RIB is a one-piece battery-and-cover with a built-in handle that can easily be removed and replaced in the frame with no tools and no hassle. It's the most convenient way to remove your battery for transport, security and convenient charging, plus it lets you mount a water bottle cage. All Rails are made with the same exclusive frame tech as Remedy and Slash, like Mino Link adjustable geometry, a Straight Shot down tube for extra stiffness and Active Braking Pivot (ABP). The Active Braking Pivot allows the Trek engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most. The Rail 9.8 XT features upgrades that make it an extremely competent high-performance mountain bike. Designed for ripping downhill and racing back for more thanks to a powerful new Bosch Performance Line CX 250 W motor that assists up to 25 km/h and a Purion controller. The extremely light and durable Carbon main frame with carbon stays that fully encase a 625 Wh battery, ensuring protection and style.
