Description
Turnip 'Atlantic' produces flatter, globe-shaped roots with purple crowns and white bases. This variety is ideal harvested as baby turnips when the taste is sweet and succulent or can be left to mature. You can also eat the dark green leaves delicious steamed as 'greens'. Grow in the ground or in containers. Companion planting: try growing turnips with Nasturtiums to draw cabbage white butterflies away from your crop, and mint to help deter flea beetles.Thompson & Morgan is delighted to work alongside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to offer special seed collections to home gardeners.
