Only reaching half the height of the original variety, it’s perfect for growing in pots to display on the patio, and just as good planted in close groups in the border where it’s airy habit will bring texture and softness to any planting scheme. Verbena flowers do not require dead heading. In autumn, apply a dry mulch of bark chips or straw to protect the crown of the plant throughout the winter months. Cut back the old stems when new shoots emerge at the base of the plant in spring.
