A handsome little Continental oak cupboard which dates to the early 20th century. The cupboard is solid, heavy & well made from oak & is fairly compact in size. We used this piece in our home for many years as a tv stand, the height is ideal for that purpose & the cupboard offers storage space for dvds etc. The cupboard has two panelled doors which are lockable, these open to reveal internal shelves, the left one with circular cut outs for glasses perhaps. The cupboard is set on small block feet & a decorative front apron set under a single wide drawer. The wood has a natural waxed finish which is fairly matt. CONDITION The cupboard is in generally in good structural condition with various small marks of age & use to the wood. To the top there are a couple of small filled holes near the front & other marks. The cupboard & drawer interiors have marks of use. MEASUREMENTS height - 73cms width - 74cms depth - 37cms left hand cupboard measures 32cms wide x 32cms deep, upper shelf is 15cms high, lower shelf is 16cms high right hand cupboard measures 35.5cms high x 32.5cms wide The measurements are taken at the widest points.
