Age/era of origin: Circa 1970s. Item type: Set of two small plates. Material: Pottery. Maker: Girl plate backstamped Doverstone, Staffordshire England. No backstamp on boy plate. Illustrations marked 'Gottschlich'. Pattern name: Girl plate marked 'Heather'. No name on boy plate. Colour/pattern: Speckled light beige with brown edge (darker brown on boy plate). Different transfer illustration on each plate. in the Holly Hobbie style. One is a little girl with dark hair, wearing an apron dress & bonnet, stood amongst flowers, holding flowers, with a ladybird & butterfly. The other is a little boy wearing patched clothing, a floppy hat with a feather, stood amongst flowers with a bird on his hand, & a bird & butterfly nearby. Size/dimension: Diameter 7 inches each. Condition: A few minor dimples in the glaze, from manufacture. Couple of small spots of wear on the brown edges. Some very small stray speacks of brown colour on the underneath edge of one plate.
