Style Advice Inspiration for our summer collection was drawn from a 1955 expedition - captured in The First Overland - where six undergraduates from Oxford and Cambridge embarked on an adventure that took them 12 months, driving from London to Singapore (and back again) in two factory-fresh Land Rovers. The 32, 000-mile round trip took them through places including Europe, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, India, Thailand and Malaysia, and they encountered the exotic colours, patterns and fabrics of places that were (at the time) rarely seen by British eyes, juxtaposed with the utilitarian clothing of the travellers and military. In a key look for the season, we have used our statement tropical print on a white base to create these high-waisted, wide-leg palazzo trousers. Made from a cotton sateen fabric, they create a coordinated look with the silk Beatrice off-the-shoulder top. The flattering cut has a side zip fastening and pockets.
