Ulyana Hammond was born in 1981 in St Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Russia, renowned for its outstanding architecture. This was a great source of inspiration to her as she grew up to appreciate the historical riches around her. The uniqueness of this piece is created through the embellishment; vintage style watch faces have been added by hand to the branches to represent not only blossom, but also the strong connection between a tree and the passing of time. Time marks change, and trees are good illustrators of time passing as their appearance alters through the seasons.
