This ornate tableware pattern from Wedgwood was inspired by decorative motifs used by Scottish neoclassical architect and designer Robert Adam, who we also know as responsible for the beautiful Pulteny Bridge of Georgian Bath. This saucer is rendered in the bold Wedgwood blue finish of the period, and decorated with simply with a neoclassical laurel border to contrast with the intricate gilding of the teacup.
