Description
Weigela Florida ‘Monet’ is a colourful hardy shrub that is reliable and tough specimen plant, perfect for the front of sunny borders and patio containers with its compact and mounding habit. With soft pale flowers complement the variegated foliage which is edged in pink and cream from late spring. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level. Position: Sun or Semi Shade Height Up To: 60cm (24”).
