Whale Shark
Description
The whale shark, easily recognizable by its dark gray skin marked by light spots, as well as horizontal and vertical bands ranging from white to yellow, is the largest fish in the world. However, despite its imposing size and 34 tonnes, the whale shark is completely devoid of aggressiveness and is harmless to humans. Like the blue whale, the latter feeds exclusively on plankton, algae or even microscopic animals, which it absorbs through its large mouth.
