Amethyst comes from the Greek word ‘amethystos' which means sober. Thus this gemstone is said to promote balance, stability, inner harmony and courage, qualities often associated with royalty. The diamond shapes in your pendant reperesent the double zig-zag lines of February's star sign Aquarius, the water bearer. Water will always find its own level and return to a state of stillness. Wearing an amethyst pendant will help you to do the same and bring about physchological cleansing, inner peace and harmony. The pendant has a central, large, tall triangular amethyst, held in place by a gold ‘crown'. Four purple enamel diamonds and four cz's surround the stone in a square setting with a plain rolled edge. The ‘hook' has a tiny purple enamel diamond on it. To clean, wash gently in warm soapy water, rinse and pat dry. Care should be taken not to drop or knock the piece of jewellery as a stone may be damaged or fall out. Eventually, all gold vermeil will wear off and the more often it is worn the more quickly this will happen. However as this is one full micron of 18k gold vermeil, and the only place the gold touches the skin is at the back of the pendant, this should last a long time.
