Description
Whether you're exploring the countryside back roads at the weekend or taking part in a cyclocross event, this versatile gravel bike tyre is engineered for performance. It features a raised, consistent centreline tread for minimal rolling resistance, while its long staggered knobs provide excellent traction without cutting down on speed.Dual DNA Compound: Two rubber compounds. The centerline tread features a firmer rubber compound that rolls fast and resists tread wear while the side knobs are composed of softer, slower-rebounding rubber to improve control and grip. All Dual DNA tyres fall within the Fast Rolling category.SG2 Puncture Protection: Nylon fibres have a flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibres and minimises weight. SG2 was specifically designed to be a puncture protection layer, but it also improves air retention and eliminates seeping at the sidewall.Compound: Dual DNAPuncture Protection: SG2Use: Gravel, CyclocrossLevel: TCS Light/Fast RollingTubeless Ready: TCS TubelessMin/Max Pressure: 25-50 psiWeight: 545g (700cx40mm version)Colour: BlackSize: 120tpiWheel Size: 700cWidth: 1.6"The WTB Nano is built for speed. A nearly uninterrupted centreline provides swift efficiency on hardpack terrain while staggered outer knobs allow you to stay on the gas while hammering up chunky climbs or hanging on through loose gravel corners. The high-volume 40mm casing allows for lower tyre pressures and a smoother ride while still reducing drag and rolling resistance. This makes for an all-out gravel destroyer that still appeases those clamouring for a truly big cyclocross tyre. TCS Light/Fast Rolling versions of the Nano 40 tyre (this version) provide ultimate tubeless reliability for gravel or cyclocross racing. These tyres are equipped with WTB's SG2 Puncture Protection, which is a lightweight nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage and ensures every area of the tyre is defended against slashes and punctures. As events become progressively rougher and cyclists pedal farther, gravel gets tougher. It only makes sense for gravel tyres to become tougher as well.
