Y-3 present the ‘Zx’ Run Trainers. Born from the collaboration of Japanese designer, Yohji Yamamoto, and sportswear label, Adidas, the revolutionary partnership at the centre of this brand marks the increasingly blurred line between sport functionality and fashion elegance. Inspired by Adidas’ original ZX series, pioneer of the 1980s futuristic trainer aesthetic, this shoe is constructed from several textures and colours. Three shades of white are jig-sawed in this design and contrasted with orange panelling. Textures are also juxtaposed, with a suede panel on the vamp, perforations on the tongue, and exposed vents on the toe and sides. Small details are printed on this design, including a signature on the vamp, branding on the heel, and the Y-3 label within the tongue perforations. Secured with a lace-up fastening, this shoe is both experimental and classic, playing with the traditional design of the round toe trainr. Upper: Suede and Nylon. Collar Lining: Perforated Leather.
