Description
Abies Concolor originates from south-west United States. This upright large evergreen has branches that are held at a 90 degree angle to the trunk, with eye-catching blue-grey needles with cones that appear in the autumn that vary from pale green to brown with maturity. This conifer tree can be planted in rows to create a screen. Height: Up to 30m (98”). Spread: 8m (26”). Grow Abies in reliably moist, fertile, neutral to slightly acid, well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun. A sheltered site with even light is preferable to ensure even growth and retain its elegant shape. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil to improve its structure and fertility. In the first few years after planting, water Fir trees regularly, particularly during dry periods until they are fully established. Abies will naturally form an elegant conical shaped tree. No pruning is required. Position: Full Sun Height Up To: 30m (98”). Spread Up To: 8m (26”). Supplied as Abies (Fir) Concolor 1x Bare Root Delivered with growing and care instructions.
