This robin cushion is a great way to bring a bit of lovely Liberty to your seasonal decor. Nothing says festive quite like a robin in the snow. By sewing this cushion, you can enjoy the pretty sight and soak up the good luck of a red robin on your sofa or bed this winter. Suitable for an advancing beginner sewer, it is constructed using raw edge appliqué and patchwork techniques. Appliqué does require some concentration but will help advance your sewing skills. Included in the kit: Liberty Tana Lawn® Fabric to make the cushion cover High-quality, off-white quilting cotton for the background and cushion backing All instructions and templates needed to make the cushion cover You will need: Scissors, iron, pins, thread to match each fabric, embroidery thread, erasable fabric marker, sewing machine (it is handy to be able to drop the feed dog) or hand sewing needle, rotary cutter and cutting mat, grid ruler. Optional: free motion quilting foot, washable adhesive glue stick. Wadding: approx 19” x 19” (48cm x 48cm) Iron-on transfer adhesive (such as Bondaweb): six 4” x 4” (10.2cm x 10.2cm) squares, two 3” x 3” (7.6cm x 7.6cm) squares, one 4½” x 9” (11.4cm x 22.9cm) piece. Extra backing fabric (this will not be visible so any spare fabric or sheeting will suit): 19” x 19” (48cm x 48cm).
