Description
Aquilegia ‘Nora Barlow’ is a show stopping pom-pom like aquilegia that ticks every box! This reliable hardy perennial will create fiery red layered blooms that are detailed with illuminous yellow spiked edges from early May to early July! This striking aquilegia is the ideal plant for cottage gardens and large patio pots! Grow aquilegias in a sun or part shade in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Columbines hybridize readily, be aware that any self-sown seedlings may not come true to type. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
