Description
Bremont Watch ALT1 C-GRIFFON Bracelet Inspired by the engine that featured in the most powerful Spitfire plane, the incredible Bremont ALT1-C Griffon watch comes to life with some breathtaking military design tropes and a remarkable automatic winding movement. Its vintage aesthetic commemorates the PR Mk XIX plane which was the last of the specialised photo reconnaissance variants of the Spitfire and is one of the few with a Griffon engine, an engine known for being one of the finest and most formidable. The plane, like the Bremont ALT1-C Griffon watch, holds a special place within the Bremont watch collection as it once operated by co-founders Nick and Giles English’s father before his tragic passing. Based on the very first timepiece ever released by Bremont, the ALT1-C, the Bremont Griffon upholds its principles of legibility and ease of use with Superluminova coated numerals and inlaid hands taking centre stage on a black metal dial. Housed beneath double anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, the date window at 6 o clock, central hands for hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, a 30 minutes counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock are powered by the BE-50AE automatic winding movement, a 25 jewelled COSC certified calibre promising an accuracy of -4 to +6 seconds per day and a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement can be witnessed through the exquisite flat crystal case back measuring to 43mm in size and engineered from hardened Trip-Tick construction stainless steel.
