John Lewis 'Butterfly Dance' Framed Print & Mount
Description
Ulyana Hammond's palette of gun-metal grey and grasshopper green throws a lone group of whitewashed cottages and a speckling of seagulls into sharp contrast. Her deft used of raised image and colour creates a powerful sense of depth and distance. Raised image, framed and glazed. Raised image, framed with a mount and glazed. Ulyana Hammond was born in 1981 in St Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Russia, known for its outstanding architecture. These wonderful surroundings were a great source of inspiration to her as she grew up to appreciate the historical riches around her. While studying traditional art and sculpture at university, Ulyana spent many hours sketching and perfecting her art, discovering this rewarding outlet for her passion of painting contrasting shape and colours. Returning to St Peterburg to see family, the trip brought all her childhood memories flooding back. This beautiful city continues to influence her work.
