These beautiful Chrysanthemum plants are perfect for your borders when your summer plants have faded away, flowering from September through until the first frosts. Perfect for long-lasting flower arrangements, these can either be grown naturally for masses of small blooms, or alternatively disbudding the stems will produce fewer but larger blooms. Pot up decorative chrysanthemum plants and grow them on in bright frost free conditions. Pinch out the top 5cm of each stem when they reach a height of 15cm to produce a bushier plant with more flowers. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise chrysanthemum plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before planting them out in borders and containers in fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun.
