Description
Fill your garden with the fiery flowers of Chrysanthemum 'Sunset'! The vibrant single blooms burst into a delightful range of reds, oranges and apricots and are easy to grow. Ideal for brightening your borders or as cut flowers to enjoy in vases indoors. Plants blooms from early summer through to the first frosts. Companion planting: try growing Chrysanthemums with chives, whose aromatic leaves will deter aphids. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 6mm ( 1/4in) deep, in rows 23cm (9in) apart. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.
