Description
Plant in rockeries and borders or under deciduous trees and shrubs to see these burst into bloom as early as February. The bright blooms will provide a splash of colour from late winter when many other plants would not brave the cold. For a natural effect these can be scattered. Grow crocus in any well-drained garden soil in sun or semi shade. Spring flowering crocus bulbs should be planted during the autumn, in large clumps at a depth of 10cm (4") and at a distance of 7cm (3") apart. Alternatively grow them in containers or naturalised in grass.
