Description
Dahlia ‘Rouge Collection’ is a contemporary mix of vibrant, bold colours and striking blooms. This perennial has tall sturdy stems and repeat flowering ability of these easy to grow dahlia plants. The tubers can be lifted after the first hard frost of autumn and replanted the following spring for bigger and better displays each year. Height: 100cm (39”). Spread: 50cm (20”). This collection contains: Dahlia ‘Nuit D Ete, Dahlia ‘Maggiore Fire’, Dahlia ‘Pulp fiction’ and Dahlia ‘Mambo’ Culinary note: All dahlia flowers and tubers are edible. The flavours and textures can vary greatly depending on the soil and conditions in which they were grown. Flavours range from water chestnut through to a spicy apple or even carrot. Plant Dahlia tubers outdoors in April after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6") and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June. Position: Full Sun Height Up To: 120cm (48”). Spread Up To: 60cm (24”).
