Description
This Delphinium Mix is perfect for creating beautiful focal points at the back of garden borders. This showy mix of delphiniums send spires of blooms upward in a gentle mix of colours. These perennials bring hight and structure to borders and make an impressive cut flower for summer bouquets. Height: 150cm (60”). Spread: 75cm (30”). When growing Delphiniums, choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds, on moist, well-drained soil. Protect young delphinium plants from slugs and snails. Feed and water delphinium plants until they are fully established. The tall stems of delphinium flowers will require staking with stout canes. Canes should be put in place by mid spring to ensure that the plants are adequately supported throughout the growing season. Cut spikes of faded delphinium flowers back to a flowering side-shoot to encourage a second flush of blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut the old foliage back to ground level.
