Description
The perfect, compact flowering shrub to bring colour, fragrance and low maintenance structural interest to your garden. Deutzia compacta ‘Lavender Time’ produces a stunning profusion of fragrant lavender-mauve blooms which fade to a pretty pale pink as they mature, above a fresh backdrop of lush green foliage. With a neat, bushy shape and naturally small size, this easy-to-grow shrub is ideal for a small garden or to incorporate into a mixed border or shrubbery. Grow Deutzia in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Feed and water Deutzia plants regularly until fully established. Once established, Deutzia shrubs will require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a pair of healthy buds. On mature plants, remove a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base of the plant. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
