Elaeagnus x Submacrophylla 'Gilt Edge' - This evergreen shrub is fully hardy, tolerant and versatile. Elaeagnus x Submacrophylla 'Gilt Edge' will grow in any well-drained soil, even in drier areas, but may be discoloured in chalky soils. Its has glossy yellow leaves with green edging and silver undersides. From late summer to early autumn, small cream blooms emerge in clusters, followed closely by tiny fruits.
