This is an early 20th century Hawkeye basket. The refrigerated split weave picnic basket features a metal lining with compartment for ice. Aged canvas straps once sealed the basket, as hinged handles carry it on its way. CONDITION in fair condition with wear consistent with age & use. Lid sealer shows warp. Partial loss of canvas straps. General rust & age to the metal lining. A small break & loss in the weave near the base on one side.
