Unique wooden candle holder handmade from Scottish elm wood with plenty of natural character & interest, suitable for a tall candle & ideal as a centerpiece or on a mantle. This item has deep brown colours often seen in older elm with plenty of interesting grain patterns as well as an interesting bark section. Several coats of natural oils have been applied to finish the wood & capture the wonderful colours, which will provide protection for years to come. A further coat of furniture oil or wax can be added at a later date if you so wish. There is a brass coloured candle holder ring recessed into the piece to hold the candle securely. The holder measures approx 14x11.5x7cm (5.5x4.5x2.75 inches) & holds a 20mm diameter (at base) candle. Unique item - only one produced - item 379 The underside of the piece is branded with our "anyfink, Made in Scotland" logo & it has felt feet to avoid marking surfaces. We take great care with the our handmade production processes - everything is flat, square, parallel, perpendicular, & aligned when it should be (eg. each of the holes for our tealights is drilled perfectly square to precisely 16.7mm deep). The sanding & finishing is very comprehensive so everything is clean, flush, smooth, & pleasing to view or touch (take a close look at our photos & feedback to support this). This means that whilst our products retain their natural appearance, they are definitely not rough & ready "rustic" items.
