Grey stripe velvet cushion/pillow cover, ombre 12" (30cm) MADE TO ORDER. Other sizes available to order An opulent, soft hand-painted silk/viscose velvet decorative pillow cover in an ombre stripe of a mid gray, dark slate gray to midnight blue. This was inspired from the beautiful changing skies & mountain forms of the Highlands of Scotland. Soft subtle washes of color are painted onto velvet & then rich deeper pigments are painted to contrast, sometimes blending haphazardly but also beautifully. The fabric is then steamed to fix the color. It has an overlapped envelope style opening at the back in black or midnight blue velvet. They measure 12" square (30cm). A long time is spent getting the colors right, mixing them to get just the right shade & then blended into the fabric with a paint-brush. The patinated appearance & subtle irregularities in color vary from cushion to cushion, therefore you know you are getting a totally unique item. "Gorgeous! Bringing a touch of luxury to my bedroom.
