Description

This is a beautiful Mid 20th Century Fireside Companion set & stand consisting of a hearth brush & shovel, coal tongs & a poker. It has a nautical theme with the finials modelled as the 16th century sailing ship The Revenge. An English galleon carrying 46 cannon, The Revenge saw action during the Spanish Armada battles of 1588. All solid brass with a steel poker tip, it was an attic find & had been in storage since the early 1960s. in original as found condition with just a little general wear & tear as shown. The tools are all fully usable & undamaged & I have fitted a new wooden brush head with natural black bristle. The stand has a steel centre screw & a sold cast brass base for stability. about 46cm or 18 tall with a neat hook rack for the tools. It will be shipped disassembled as pictured for both economy & safety. Set weight 1300g. Please have a good look at all the photos & contact me with any questions.
