Description
This is a beautifully engraved napkin ring hallmarked for Chester in the early 1900's. The engraved scrollwork goes all around the napkin ring, & the field at the front is engraved, F.I.W. 1913. It measures an inch & a quarter tall & its aperture is 1 & half inches wide. The hallmarks are quite good except for the year mark. However, between the original owner's engraving & the passant lion, the napkin ring must have been manufactured between 1820 & 1913. It weighs .7 ounces. The maker's mark is J & S. This is a lovely, collectible piece & is in superb condition - time to start an elegant & useful collection! sterling 1913 Napkin Ring
