An excellent example of sophisticated , fine vintage china, in this lidded tureen by Grindley, in their Creampetal range. It is also marked Melba. It would make a wonderful addition to any table, or stand alone as a decorative, display piece. The serving dish is in a creamy , highly polished glaze, decorated with sprays of yellow jasmine, orange flowers, stems & leaves, both on the inside of the bowl & on the lid.It is edged in green, around the bowl & lid & on the handle of the lid. The tureen is in very good condition. The colours of the decoration are still vibrant. The tiniest of chips off the edge of the base, & lid, one on each. The dish stands 4 & three quarter inches, or 12 cm tall & measures 10 & a quarter inches, or 26 cm across, from handle to handle. I have two tureens available.
