Grey plaid umbrella with a moulded celluloid plastic handle & tip, amber plastic tips to the metal ribs. The handle shaft is wood. It has a black cord hand strap with a crochet bobble on the end. A good quality umbrella estimated vintage 1930s-1940s, possibly recovered 1940s-1950s Size: length 26.5" / 67 cm, span 32" / 81 cm Weight: Maker : stamped on struts S. Fox & Sons, & on cloth it looks like 'Recovered by Rickards, London' Fabric:: unidentified, feels like rayon or an early nylon, handle & ferrule appear to be an early plastic probably celluloid with a marbled grey & gold effect Condition: very good, some signs of use & age Paragon S.
