Description

Carved from a solid piece of ash wood, this bowl has a unique curvy leaf form. All tool marks have been sanded away resulting in a smooth even surface accentuating the modern lines. The finish is multiple applications of pure tung nut oil allowed to soak into the wood. Tung oil penetrates the wood, cures slowly & bonds with the wood to form a durable finish. After the oil cures a layer of wood butter made from bees wax & grape seed oil is applied & rubbed off, giving the surface a satin luster. Length is 20 inches, width is 13 1/4 & height is 2 3/4.
