'Precious Amber' produces a dazzling array of orange and gold tones in every scented bloom, ageing to softer shades of pink. ‘Precious Amber' is a repeat-flowering floribunda variety, which is set to become immensely popular among UK gardeners. With a compact habit and glossy dark foliage, this disease resistant variety is ideal for sunny border and makes a fine patio plant. Height and spread: 75cm (29”). Bare root roses will arrive trimmed back, ready for the new season, they will exhibit little signs of growth on arrival with possibly some buds in view. The bare roots should be planted as soon as possible in the ground as long as the soil is not frozen or waterlogged, if this is the case, do not allow the roots to dry out, place in a large container and cover with damp compost, or wrap the roots in damp cloth. Plant bare root roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
