This strong mountain bike chainring also benefits from FSA's MegaTooth technology. Very long, asymmetric teeth in a thick-thin alternation create a tremendously quiet, secure chain engagement. On a mountain bike, this creates further weight savings, as it also removes the need for a heavy chain device. Also, as there’s no need to derail the chain onto another ring, the MegaTooth chainring can be designed for fantastic chain security. This particular model has a 53mm chainline, so is specifically designed for use with bikes that have 12x148mm "Boost" rear spacing.
