The display has been specially adapted to work with gloves, in torrential rain and is easily readable in direct sunlight. Navigation Fully integrated with GPS and is preloadd with the Garmin Cycle Map that provides turn-by-turn navigation with Trendline popularity routing to find the best trialed and tested routes used by other cyclists on and off road. Tracking When you're in training it's important to accurately keep track of your improving performance levels. Therefore the Edge Explore uses GPS to keep track of how far, how fast, how high and where you ride. Connectivity To share your performance stats and to help you stay connected when you're riding the computer comes with various connectivity options. LiveTrack and GroupTrack features allow you to stay connected to other cyclists on the road. You can also sync the Edge Explore to your smartphone to recieve smart notifications while you're cycling including text messages, phone call alerts and more. Connect IQ One of the other connectivity options is that you can connect the computer to the IQ store to download various alternative free apps, widgets, and data fields. Compatibility For even further options you can connect various compatible Garmin sensors (sold seperately) including the Varia cycling awareness light device plus other sensors including heart rate monitors, speed and cadence sensors.
