Description
Geranium Balcon Red is the perfect summer flowering plants for hanging baskets, window boxes and flower pouches. This variety has beautiful cascading scarlet blooms on the end of long stems of attractive glossy green foliage. With regular deadheading this stunning geranium will continue to flower throughout the summer months with good resilience to British weather. Height and Spread: 45cm (18”). Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise trailing geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, baskets and window boxes. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. Feed and water geranium plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of geranium flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
