Description
This handsome Hydrangea blooms with delicate lacecap flowers in shades of deep blue-purple from summer through to autumn. The fabulous flowers are borne on dark purple-brown stems, complemented by glorious green leaves with toothed edges. As with most Hydrangeas, those grown in alkaline soils will produce deeper pink blooms, whereas in acid soil the blooms will be mostly blue. Holding a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for its performance in UK gardens, ‘Zorro’ will grow into a fully hardy, rounded, deciduous shrub that provides good autumn colour after the flowers have faded. The blue flowers will take on a pink hue as they fade through autumn and may also be affected by alkaline tap water or soil. For the deepest blue flowers right through the season we recommend the use of Hydrangea colourant. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
