Description
Iris Danfordiae produces canary yellow flowers that are some of the first to welcome spring, flowering from as early as January. The blooms maybe small but the bright flowers make a huge impact with their fragrant flowers, appearing on short stems which gradually elongate to around 30cm as the flowers fade. This variety is perfect for planting throughout rockeries and gravel gardens or dotting bold clumps throughout the front of borders. Height: 15cm (96”). Spread: 7cm (3”). Plant Iris danfordiae bulbs in late autumn, at a depth of approximately twice their own height. Choose a position in full sun in moist, free draining soil. To create a natural effect, cast the bulbs across the area and plant them where they land.
