The Supermarine Spitfire fighter can undoubtedly be considered one of the most famous aircraft in the history of aviation and an icon of British aviation production. Single-engine low-wing aircraft, equipped with a good offensive armament, constituted, in the first versions, together with the Hawker Hurricane the backbone of the fighting departments of the Royal Air Force during the Battle of England against the German Luftwaffe.
