Description
The M-108 self-propelled artillery was introduced, in the early 1960's to satisfy a specific need of the U.S. Army which was to develop a high mobility howitzer able to replace the aging M52.The M-108 mobility achieved this requirement thanks to the powerful turbocharged diesel 8-cylinder engine and the efficient suspension system. The armament was formed by the 105mm howitzer and by 1, 12.7mm machine gun fitted to the rooftop, for close defense purposes.
