Description
Winter Jasmine has woody, green stems with bright evergreen foliage smothered with masses of small canary yellow flowers from January to March. The long, trailing stems can be tied to wires or left to scramble up walls to create a colourful display through the winter. This hardy shrub is easy to grow and requires little maintenance apart from regular pruning. Grow plants on in frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outside. Harden plants off for 7 - 10 days and then plant in moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Prepare support structure of wires or trellis and tie in stems as they grow. Water and feed regularly until plants are established. Once flowering has finished, prune out the oldest stems and reduce remaining the growth so that it fits the available space.
