Description
Thompson & Morgan Viburnum Compactum is a particularly decorative, compact, medium sized shrub with blooms of white flowers in summer set against green leaves that turn purplish-pink in autumn. Bright red-berries follow flowering that are much loved by birds. Awarded an RHS AGM and a place on the RHSs list of Plant for Pollinators, Thompson & Morgan Viburnum Compactum is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Choose a position in full sun or partial shade when growing Thompson & Morgan Viburnum Compactum and plant in any moist, well-drained soil. Viburnum will tolerate exposed and coastal areas quite successfully too. Thompson & Morgan Viburnum Compactum requires minimal pruning, only removal of any dead or damaged growth and trimming to fit the available space. This is best undertaken in spring. Viburnum will tolerate a harder, regenerate prune if they become poorly shaped after a few years.
