Description
The Kona Process 134 AL is a hardcore full-suspension trail bike that's ideal for riding anywhere on the mountainside. Also, it features Kona's Beamer suspension platform, which provides virtually zero pedal-bob when climbing while ensuring exceptional comfort and stability for daring descents, technical switchbacks and demanding terrains. RockShox Suspension and Shimano Deore 1x11-Speed Drivetrain Smoothing the trail and enhancing your traction and comfort as you rocket your way down the mountainside is a dependable RockShox system. This suspension setup consists of a Recon RL Motion Control fork and a Deluxe Select Trunnion-mount shock. The 140mm travel of the fork cushions every bump at your front-end while the 134mm travel on the shock keeps your rear in check on the most trying of terrains. The bike is driven-on by a Shimano Deore 1x11-Speed drivetrain, ensuring smooth and crisp shifting performance for climbing steep hills with ease and blasting from trail to trail. WTB ST i30 Rims and Maxxis Wide Trail Tyres A set of WTB ST i30 rims, wrapped in Maxxis Wide Trail tyres, ensure a stable and performance through even the most daring terrains, with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes at your fingertips to control your momentum in all-weather conditions. The Kona Process 134 AL 29 Suspension Bike is engineered and geared for riding anywhere on the mountain and is suited to all riding styles and ambitions. Kona 6061 Aluminium: Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout their range of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of our 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. Tapered Head Tube: More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it’s needed. 12mm Thru Axles: 12x142mm, 12x148 and 12x157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the Kona rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. For 2017, you’ll see the 12x148 Boost standard in the mix. Boost spacing provides more tyre clearance at the chainstay yoke, while the rear wheel is stiffer and more durable relative to a 12x142 thru-axle. Beamer Independent Suspension: Built to be off-the-top progressive, Beamer Independent Suspension helps the bike to stay higher in the travel and recover from hits more quickly. The Operators are instilled with what our product managers like to call “pure shock movement,” whereby the shock is protected from side load. Designed to be highly tuneable and extremely durable, the Beamer IS is our version of greased lightning. Built, Tuned and Tested Rest assured that each bike is fully built, tested and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure your bike arrives in perfect condition.
