Blooming from November through to March this winter flowering variety is evergreen and will provide interest all through the year. Following on from the golden flowers you will see blue-black berries appear. Neat and compact this is a perfect groundcover plant. Grow Mahonia plants in any rich fertile, well drained soil in full shade. Although Mahonia plants are hardy they will appreciate a sheltered position away from cold, drying winds.Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil.
